About Me

So you might ask yourself why you should take advice or thoughts from me?
Well, I’m your quintessential person in their 40s brimming with a variety of life experiences. I’m an adoptive mum to three incredible children, who oscillate between being absolute angels and agents of chaos – often within the span of five minutes.

My love affair with books began at the tender age of six when I stumbled across “The Silver Brumby” in my local library. That moment sparked a passion that has not waned; for nearly four decades, I’ve been an avid reader. Whether I’m devouring a few lines on a hectic day or losing myself in entire books in one sitting, reading has been a constant companion on my journey through life, across continents and through different chapters of my own story.

Embarking on this blog is more than just a hobby, it’s a passion project. It promises to be a sanctuary for my thoughts on the myriad worlds and lives I’ve explored on its pages. This endeavour is also practical – saving me the trouble of recounting my impressions of a book I’ve recommended when I’ve already dived headfirst into another.

When George R. R. Martin proclaimed, “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one,” it resonated with me deeply. Through this blog, I embrace the challenge of living as many lives as possible, one page at a time. Join me on this literary odyssey and explore the limitless lives and worlds that books have to offer.
